I grew up with the nickname of Porky and I spent decades of yo-yo dieting to change it. Peronally I was thrilled when the "fat free" revolution hit because that meant I could eat what I really wanted to - sugary, processed junk! And I washed it down with Diet Pepsi!

Despite the fact I was working out for hours on end (remember the slow and steady wins the race advice?) I looked ok in my clothes but I had cellulite all over - why? I was eating fat free food and drinking diet soda!

Thankfully, I finally found out how to give my body what it wants ... just real food!  When you feed the body what it wants  your weight is no longer a struggle. The funny thing is your body will crave the healthy food because it's so SMART!   I do not believe in diets or deprivation. If you live in a black and white world when it comes to food your diet is doomed.

Willpower only lasts a few weeks tops. That is why people give up - its too restricting. I like an 80/20 rule. Eating well most of the time and leaving room for some non-negotiable treats. You know what yours are and I know mine - they may be different and that's OK!
